About me

Hey there! My name is Israel Pando, and I’m a cybersecurity specialist with over 10 years of experience navigating the world of IT and security.

For the past seven years, I’ve had the chance to lead 50+ cybersecurity projects across industries like defense, transportation, and managed services. I love bringing people together—whether it’s IT teams, business leaders, or security professionals—to solve tough problems and create solutions that actually work.

I’m not just a project manager who checks boxes; I get in the trenches, take ownership, and make sure every detail—from tech implementation to team coordination—is done right.
In recent years, I’ve been focused on detection and response projects for companies of all sizes (from 100 to 10,000+ employees), helping them stay ahead of threats and build smart, resilient defenses.

Core Values

(I’m all about solving problems, leading teams, and patching vulnerabilities—especially the emotional ones after a pen test… ” )

Leadership & Ownership

I take the initiative, manage teams, and lead cybersecurity projects with a “can-do” attitude, ensuring processes and technology align for success.

Problem-Solving & Adaptability

I dealt with complex cybersecurity challenges, assessed risks, and implemented mitigation strategies across various industries.

Continuous Learning & Growth

My expertise spans multiple domains, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to staying ahead in an evolving field.

A bit of marketing (what’s included in the package)…

I could list my achievements and milestones—but you don’t need me to do that. They’re all on my LinkedIn profile. What matters more is who I am beyond the titles. I’m a people-first professional—someone who integrates seamlessly into any team, builds trust quickly and knows how to lead, collaborate, or rally people around a shared mission. Whether in high-pressure environments or long-term strategic projects, I believe strong relationships and clear communication are what drive real results.

In addition to this, I’m a keen AI lover, and not the “just ask chatGPT” kind of person I’m studying and developing my own AI module, based on the Ollama, and the Meta Llama 3 model.
the purpose of all this, is to study more and more the positive side of utilizing AI in Cybersecurity day-to-day, and the “dark side” of how can it be a double-edged sword… (wrote about these topics in my LinkedIn account).
